Was VERY disappointed at a concert of one of my FAVORITE things (Strauss Four Last Songs) in which the soloist was sadly lacking. I mean, REALLY... I would have been EMBARRASSED to have been singing like THAT in a major concert hall? Better to have cancencelled methinks? Am trying to decide whether to go to Gheorgiu's concert here. I have never heard her live......

Dear Imelda.. Sorry for running away (lol) before discussing the concerts and AWW that French Musical..
I m sorry that the Strauss concert was disappointing ..Those 4 songs are my favorites too.. I have the record but I cant make up my mind whether I like Te Kanava or not..Do you like her ?
As for Gheorgiu, when she is good, she is great.. If she is not in form, well, she is not.. I have heard her live in Tales of Hoffman (that was long ago) .. Then there was that scandal in Istanbul. We bought our tickets happily and were ready for her concert , but we heard in the last minute that she had been very busy shopping and sight seeing during the past few days and she fell ill - the concert was cancelled..Although she came to Istanbul for the conncert after a few weeks, I was so angry that I gave up my ticket and went to another concert ..Then I heard that she had sung like an angel , she was that good..
Well, what about yr concerts ? Were you busy during the summer or do you rather prefer the school ?
French Musicals are interesting and different .. I love them.. I guess our tastes run the same . as with Notre Dame .. They also have Les Miserables as musical (not the one from Hollywood), it is great, but I havent been able to find the CD here..
Cheers dear Imelda..

Serin dear, Heard any good concerts lately? I have been mostly inside since breaking my foot. :-( Had to cancel A production of Semele. Such a STUPID accident too. Pretty Yende and Florez were at the Concertgebouw this past week. SHE was wonderful. (if having a few pitch issues?) Such a charming singer. That SMILE. :-) Florez sounded fine too. Otherwise, things are quiet on what I have been able to get to see/hear. The last two weeks of Conservatory are upon us! Crazy days = Juries, Final recitals, tears, hand-holding, panic! BUT, this is my LAST year there. I have a LOT to sing coming up in 2016/17 and I just can't divide the energy well enough. ANYWAYZ, hope you are doing alright. Cheers and all things good to you dear Serin.

Luke Bryan is my favourite country singer. His strong voice takes me away from all issues of this world and I start enjoy my life and listen songs created by his. Now the singer is going on a tour in 2020. The concerts scheduled for this year, up to the 12th of October. Tickets are available for everyone. If you love country music as mush as I, then you must visit at least one of his concert. All tour dates are available at the https://lukebryantourdates.com. Florida Georgia Line is my favourite contry band. Headliners Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard are those people that can make anyone sing along. It's the reason I like to visit their shows. And - that's surprisingly beatiful - in 2019 they have CAN'T SAY IT AIN'T COUNTRY TOUR which covers all the USA towns and cities. For concert info visit Florida Georgia Line Concerts.

Breaking Benjamin is my favourite rock-band of 90s. Breaking Benjamin had so many hits! The ones I remember are 'The Diary of Jane', 'Tourniquet' and, of course their hit 'So Cold'. These are real songs, not fake ones like today! And it is sooo good that Breaking Benjamin have a tour in 2019! And I'm going to attend their concert this year. The concert setlist is here: breakingbenjaminconcerts.com. Open the page and maybe we can even visit one of the Benjamin's together!
