UM, so I made my sister go to the premiere, she saw Tom Cruise, had a 2 minute conversation with him which he striked, got a picture, an autograph, and called me to put me on the phone. I had been waiting by my phone the entire day, IN THE TWO MINUTES THAT SHE CALLED ME IN (AND THEREFORE HAD A CHANCE TO SPEAK TO TC, MY GODDAMN MANAGER PULLED ME IN TO HAVE A QUICK CHAT). GODDAMNIT, I'M MAD!

Also, she said he was goodlooking and really nice. She said she didn't seem star struck because he was so normal and nice.

VALKYRIE was a brilliant film and Quarrie's screenplay was brilliant .. One of the best films of Tom - of course he was brilliant too.. The film was like a thriller although it was depicting a true story .. I remember holding my breath while watching some scenes as if I didnt know the story and how it had ended.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HAH !! So Tom found himself caught in football frenzy with the grandiose Derby between Manchester City and Manchester United - and went to Manchester to watch the Derby.. Hope he has enjoyed it.. If I had known he would be there, I would have watched the match on TV just to see Tom in the VIP box.. Examiner : : The Tom Cruise interview by Sky News on Monday gave an up close and personal look at Tom Cruise. Living in England, it appears the environment agrees with the actor, and he is looking great in this interview dishing on "Jack Reacher," and "All you Need Is Kill." Tom also dished on his recent excursion to a Manchester soccer match and his friendship with David Beckham. Cruise made a grand entrance to the “Man City vs Man Utd” game via helicopter, then spent time with Robert Duvall as they chatted with Manchester city officials before the game. Fans were thrilled to see Cruise as he stopped to sign autographs. Slideshow: Tom Cruise and Robert Duvall from the Paramount film 'Jack Reacher' attend the Manchester derby as part of their European Tour at Etihad Stadium According to Daily Mail, Tom Cruise dished on the soccer match and his friends to Sky One News: “"This is the first game that I've seen in England. I've been following it since the eighties so I'm just excited that I'm able to be here." Tom talked about David Beckham's absence from Saturday's game: “"He wishes he was here. I got an email from him, he's jealous that I'm here." Last week it was reported that Tom's team took two days to decide how to squeeze the soccer match into Tom's schedule. It was decided a helicopter would be the best option and the arrival by helicopter did thrill the soccer fans. Tom spent time with Duvall and the photos show the excitement of Cruise and Duvall as they held the world cup, posing for photos.

Gun Scene Cut From Tom Cruise Movie Marketing in Wake of School Shooting Paramount has decided to make several tweaks to the marketing materials for Jack Reacher, the gritty crime-action pic starring Tom Cruise as a hard-boiled former military cop trying to prove that an alleged sniper was framed. The film opens Friday.
The studio wouldn't officially say what the changes are, but a source confirmed that a scene of Cruise's character firing off a semi-automatic weapon is being cut from promotional spots.
Jack Reacher, rated PG-13 and opening with sniper fire, isn't the only Christmas movie laced with violence.
On Monday, the Weinstein Co. announced it was cancelling Tuesday night's Django premiere in Los Angeles because of the school tragedy. The Weinstein Co. was following the cue of Paramount, which postponed Saturday's Jack Reacher premiere in Pittsburgh (the event has been rescheduled for Wednesday). SOURCE

Box Office: 'Jack Reacher' claims victory with no. 2 finish after 'The Hobbit'
By Gregory Ellwood Saturday, Dec 22, 2012 1:19 PM Over Tom Cruise's long career he's earned a reputation of a summer blockbuster leading man, but most studio execs will tell you the truth is a December release date is his most reliable opening frame. "Rain Man," "Born on the Fourth of July," "A Few Good Men," "Jerry Maguire," "Vanilla Sky," "The Last Samurai," "Valkyrie" and last year's "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" are all Cruise hits that either opened right before or during the lucrative holiday season. In fact, Cruise's only box office disappointment among December releases is Paul Thomas Anderson's "Magnolia" which opened in limited release and expanded (badly) in January. Pre-release tracking caused quite a worry among Paramount Pictures executives that Cruise's latest thriller, "Jack Reacher," would not live up to his December standards. Oh, ye of little faith. "Reacher" grossed $5.1 million on Friday for second place at the box office and could end up with $15-17 million over the three-day weekend. By Christmas, "Reacher" could be at $25 million. That would be a great domestic start for a movie that cost only $60 million. Right now, it appears as though it could perform similarly to the $88 million grossing "Valkyrie." Lee Child interview: 'Jack Reacher sequel could be Worth Dying For'
Published Monday, Dec 24 2012, Lee Child has hinted that a sequel to Jack Reacher will be set in a rural landscape. The British author, whose book One Shot forms the basis of the new Tom Cruise thriller, told Digital Spy that The Hard Way or Worth Dying For could be the next Reacher novels adapted for the screen. "Having seen Jack Reacher in an urban situation, shot in Pittsburgh, gritty. I think we should do a rural one. One of the empty landscape ones," Child said. "The Hard Way ends up there, it started out in New York. "There's plenty... Worth Dying For for instance is all in Nebraska, just complete emptiness. "I think one of those would work fine. I'm just thrilled that they're even talking about the possibility of doing another one." www.digitalspy.
